Emily Waisbren, MD, is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, followed by sub-specialty training in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Dr. Waisbren is dedicated to treating the full range of cornea, cataract and anterior segment diseases. She is well versed in the surgical treatment of cataracts, dislocated intraocular lenses, DSAEK, DMEK, traditional penetrating keratoplasty, artificial cornea transplantation, and corneal refractive surgery. Her research interests include ocular surface disease, infectious corneal disease, and improving surgical outcomes after cataract and refractive surgery. Dr. Waisbren aims to tailor her practice and treatment recommendations to the individual patient and family in order to give the highest level of personalized care. Interests: Cataract surgery including femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery, Refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, PTK, INTACS), collagen crosslinking for keratoconus, Complicated cataract surgery, intraocular lens exchange and repositioning, corneal transplantation including DMEK, DSAEK, PKP, and DALK, artificial corneal transplantation. corneal trauma, corneal infections, ocular surface disease and dry eye
