Dr. Debra Wattenberg is the founder of NY Skin RX, and a graduate of the University of Michigan where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She received her medical degree and residency training from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she was elected chief resident during her final year. Dr. Wattenberg currently teaches as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Mount Sinai Hospital and is the Chief Surgical Attending for the Residents.
Dr Wattenberg specializes in cosmetic dermatology and she focuses her practice on the entire patient specializing in anti-aging cosmetic procedures, as well as the prevention and early detection of skin cancer. Her cosmetic practice focuses on complete skin care. She designs individual treatment regimens for each patient and encourages wrinkle reduction by the combination of procedures and topical therapy. She eliminates furrows and creases with Botox, fillers and a variety of chemical and non-chemical peels. She has been injecting Cosmoderm, Restylane, Perlane, Sculptra and Radiesse for many years. In addition she is also an expert in laser surgery for the removal of vascular and pigmented lesions as well as laser hair removal.
Dr Wattenberg is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology,The New York Dermatologic Society and The Independent Doctors of New York. She is also the Vice President of Scientific Affairs of the Oxalosis and Hyperoxaluria Foundation. In addition she has served as a consultant to some of the leading cosmetic companies including Proctor and Gamble’s Dove Advisory council, Medicis, Allergan and La Roche Posay.
Dr Wattenberg’s expertise has been featured extensively in the national media with regular appearances on “The Today Show”, “CNN”, and “The Mike and Juliet Show” In addition, her magazine and newspaper credits include: Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Oprah, Cosmopolitan, Teen, Glamour, W Magazine, Woman’s Day, Allure, New Woman, Men’s Health and The Daily News.
