Dr. Deborah Dean received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, in Washington D.C. She completed her residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Integrated Residency in EM at Elmhurst Hospital Center and Beth Israel Medical Center. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Brooklyn, Dr. Dean was the Associate Medical Director at Mount Sinai Queens and an emergency medicine attending at Elmhurst Hospital Center. Currently, Dr. Dean holds the title of Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Brooklyn. She serves on the Mount Sinai Health System Sepsis Strategy Committee as well as several Mount Sinai Brooklyn Hospital committees. Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Dean brings her friendly demeanor, calming aura and great professionalism to the emergency department at Mount Sinai Brooklyn, where she delivers comprehensive community medicine in an intimate setting.
