Daniel Caplivski, MD is a Professor in the Department of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and the Director of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Travel Medicine Program.  He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1994 and Yale Medical School in 2000.  He completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at Mount Sinai and joined the faculty in 2005.   

Dr. Caplivski helps prepare adults for travel to tropical countries where infectious diseases such as malaria may be more prevalent.  Dr. Caplivski is a graduate of the Gorgas Course in Clinical Tropical Medicine in Peru and has specialized training in evaluating and treating patients who have acquired illnesses while abroad.  He also provides primary care to patients living with HIV.  

Dr. Caplivski has been selected for New York Magazine's “Best Doctors Issue” yearly from 2015 through 2018.   In addition, he has been selected for the Castle Connolly New York Metro Area's Top Doctors list annually since 2013.
