Cerrene Giordano, MD is a board-certified dermatologist, trained in the treatment of a full variety of skin conditions, with specialized training in dermatologic oncology, dermatologic and Mohs micrographic surgery, and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Giordano obtained her undergraduate degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY with a BS in Chemistry and completed medical school at the University of Buffalo. She completed her internship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC and her dermatology residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI. During her residency, she was co-coordinator of the first academic Henry Ford scar clinic and served as chief resident in her final year.

After residency, Dr. Giordano pursued a dermatologic oncology and micrographic surgery fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Weill Cornell in New York City where she underwent additional training in the diagnosis and management of complex skin cancers. During her fellowship, she participated in tumor boards and also received advanced training on various cosmetic and laser procedures.

Dr. Giordano’s interest in improving patient care and patient satisfaction are the primary drives for her dedication to research. She has presented her work at national meetings including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and the American College of Mohs Surgery. During fellowship, she received the AAD Excellence in Patient Care Award for her quality improvement project and the Tromovitch Abstract Award for an additional research project at the ACMS Annual Meeting. Additionally, among other publications and textbook chapters, she was the primary author for 2 CME articles for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, each recently published. She continues to work toward advancing the field of dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
