Benjamin C. Tweel, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Medical Director for the Department of Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai Health System. He received his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Tweel treats patients with conditions across a broad range of general otolaryngology and head and neck surgery. He has particular clinical interests in salivary gland pathology, voice and swallowing, chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, hearing, and musicians’ health. His academic interests include minimally invasive salivary gland surgery as well as clinical outcomes research. He has authored textbook chapters and published manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals on topics including head and neck reconstruction outcomes and salivary gland pathology, and has presented at meetings of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies, the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the Triological Society.
