Barbara Cheung, MD is a board-certified primary care doctor at Mount Sinai Doctors, seeing patients Wednesday – Friday in Greenwich Village. Trained in New York, she is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She was awarded her medical degree from SUNY at Buffalo and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center. In addition to caring for patients, Dr.Cheung also serves as a Clinician Educator at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, supervising and training resident doctors and medical students during their ambulatory sessions. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Doctors, Dr. Cheung was a Hospitalist and attending physician at Beth Israel Medical Center’s Asian Services Program, the only dedicated Asian inpatient unit in New York City. Previously, she also practiced at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center for six years, caring for underserved patients with multiple chronic medical condtions. Dr. Cheung is committed to educating both her patients and the next generation of young doctors. She has a particular interest in chronic diseases, including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and Cardiovascular Disease. Dr. Cheung is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taisanese.
