In addition to interventions, Dr. Malhotra strives to optimize medication regimens and physical activity using evidence-based guidelines in order to return patients to their maximal level of functioning.

Dr. Malhotra has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles, reviews, and textbook chapters on pain and anesthesiology and has presented lectures, posters, and led problem-based discussion groups and workshops on these topics at several meetings including the American Society of Anesthesiologists national meeting and the New York Society of Anesthesiologists Post-Graduate Assembly.
