About Me

Dr. Anitha Iyer is the Director of Behavioral Health Population Management at Mount Sinai Health Partners, and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As the Director of Behavioral Health Population Management at MSHP, she collaborates with members of the Clinical Operations Leadership Team, providers within the Clinically Integrated Network, and teams within the Department of Psychiatry to develop necessary pathways, workflows, and programming for behavioral health assessment and treatment. Through a systematic, data-driven approach, she aims to promote better clinical outcomes for patients, streamline evaluation and treatment processes, and optimize provider performance.

She is a recognized leader in the innovative delivery of crisis services, frequent speaker at behavioral health and suicide prevention conferences across the nation, and has served as a subject matter expert for media engagement on matters pertaining to mental health and suicide prevention. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Sakhi for South Asian Women, a New York City based organization that supports South Asian survivors of interpersonal and gender-based violence. She is multilingual and fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi/Urdu.  Dr. Iyer, a licensed Clinical Psychologist, earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University-Teachers College, and her BA in Biology from Barnard College.
