About Me

Dr. Amanda Leiter is a board-certified endocrinologist. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Leiter is an epidemiology and health services researcher focused on the interaction of endocrine diseases and cancer, with a particular interest in how diabetes and obesity impact cancer treatment outcomes. Dr. Leiter has authored numerous publications on these topics. 

Dr. Leiter graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with an MD and Master of Science in Clinical Research degree. She completed her internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a National Institute of Health T32 research fellow for Cancer Prevention & Control in Priority Populations and received Mount Sinai's Department of Medicine's Agena Physician Scientist Award.

Dr. Leiter is committed to providing exceptional care to patients with a variety of endocrine conditions (including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone diseases, diabetes, weight management, and female hormone disorders).  She has a clinical interest in the treatment of diabetes and other endocrine conditions in patients with complex medical conditions, such as cancer and organ transplant.
