WNYW-TV - Dr. David Forsch: “Fan Reaction To The Derek Jeter Injury”
The season ending injury of Yankee superstar Derek Jeter has fans here worried. They're hoping he heals quickly and that the team pulls together in his absence. It's the Yankees first postseason game since 1995 without the man dubbed "Captain Clutch" and now they're worrying just how far the Bronx Bombers will go without their leader who’s won five World Series rings. The ankle injury is debilitating and painful, but it won't end Jeter's career says Dr. David Forsh, Chief of Orthopedic Trauma at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. "I hope not (end his career), unless I were able to examine him, it's tough to say – but I'm hopeful that he'll be back relatively soon," said Dr. Forsh.
