Bloomberg – Dr. Michael Hausman: “Mets’ Harvey Faces Possible Tommy John Surgery for Ligament Tear”

New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey has a partially torn ligament in his right elbow that may require reconstructive surgery that would probably force him to miss most, if not all, of next season. Michael Hausman, MD, Chief of Hand and Elbow Surgery and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, said the UCL is the primary stabilizing ligament on the inner elbow.
