Jennifer Frontera, MD, Co-chairs First Translational Science Symposium at Annual Neurocritical Care Meeting
Dr. Frontera co-chairs the first “Translational Science in Neurocritical Care Symposium” at the Neurocritical Care Meeting in San Francisco
Translational neuroscience is a burgeoning field of research within neurocritical care. The first “Translational Science in Neurocritical Care Symposium,” held at this year’s Neurocritical Care Meeting in San Francisco, featured speakers from across the nation in fields as broad as electrical engineering, neuroimaging, genetics and proteomics.
Highlights included lectures on functional MRI and cognition, neural prosthetics and brain computer interface, genetics and proteomics of SAH, and new diagnostic and treatment modalities in traumatic brain injury.
The symposium will be held at next year’s Neurocritical Care Meeting in Montreal.
