Our cosmetic surgeons offer a wide range of options for appearance enhancement, and our Department is among the leading training institutions in the country for cosmetic procedures. Cosmetic treatment options include the use of neurotoxins such as Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®, and fillers including Restylane®, Perlane®, Artefill®, Sculptra®, Juvederm®, Cosmoderm®, Captique®, and Radiesse®.
Neurotoxins for rejuvenation (Botox®, Dysport®) are medications that safely improve worry lines between the eyebrows and the crow's feet at the sides of the eyes. These frown lines are created by overactive muscles between the eyebrows. Neurotoxins will temporarily shut down these muscles, thus permitting the crease to go away.
We also perform low volume liposuction and fat transfer procedures. Tumecent Liposuction is performed to remove unwanted localized deposits of fat cells from the body. The procedure is meant for body contouring and not for weight control. Popular areas include hip area, buttocks, abdomen, thighs, knees, neck and the jowl area. Fat transfer to the face is a natural, safe and non-allergenic rejuvenation procedure. Fat transfer can re-contour the face as well as provide definition to the cheeks and chin. Since fat transfers use your own fat cells, allergic reactions are avoided and the effects are generally longer lasting than other fillers.
Our doctors offer photodynamic therapy and laser resurfacing to treat uneven skin tone and texture, using Blu-U® and Fraxel® laser technology. We offer a wide range of laser services, including laser hair removal, tattoo removal, treatment of age spots and photodamage, and acne scarring. Laser resurfacing provides improvement and elimination of wrinkles, lines, and discolorations of the face. Laser resurfacing is also highly effective for the treatment of acne scars, surgical scars, and traumatic scars.
Hair transplantation is available through our resident clinic at competitive rates supervised by experts in the field. We provide the latest technology in hair restoration surgery to correct hair loss and create a natural-looking hairline. Our fellowship trained surgeons used follicular-unit transplantation method in order to obtain the most natural look possible.
Our doctors offer facial augmentation/rejuvenation, which injects fillers (Juvederm; Restalyne) into deep creases and other depressions to fill in these defects; signs of aging and achieve a non-invasive natural “mini face-lift” appearance.
We offer micropeel procedures, in which the sun-damaged, aged, discolored outer layers of the skin are gently removed in a series of micropeels performed in the office. Since each micropeel is gentle, there is no visible wound afterwards. This procedure can be done on one's lunch hour, and the patient can return to the office the same day.
Our specialists offer Thermage™, which is a non-invasive radiofrequency device utilized for skin tightening and skin contouring.
Our doctors also perform the removal of acquired and congenital vascular lesions with the pulse dye laser. The most common vascular lesions treated include:
- Port wine stains
- Telangiectasias (spider veins)
- Varicose veins
