Patient Care in Children’s Environmental Health

The Children’s Environmental Health Centers of New York (CEHCNY) provide medical care to children who have been affected by environmental exposures. CEHCNY pediatricians have provided treatment and guidance to the families of children who have experienced toxic environmental exposures or are suspected of suffering from diseases of environmental origin. Because children’s environmental health covers a wide variety of issues, the CEHCNY network is comprised of experts in pediatrics, allergy/immunology, neurodevelopment, toxicology, occupational and environmental medicine, nursing, and other specialized areas.

In addition to children and families, the CEHCNY also provide clinical consultation and education for health care professionals, public health officials, and community organizations with concerns regarding children's environmental health. The CEHCNY network is capable of responding to requests throughout New York State, and they offer advice on prevention, diagnosis, management, and treatment of environmentally-related health effects in children.
