Massage Therapy

Therapeutic massage can be helpful in relieving stress and anxiety as well as easing muscle tension. Our massage therapists provide modified, gentle massage techniques in order to work safely with the effects of breast cancer and cancer treatment. The goal is to provide relaxation and stress management to help our patients reconnect body and mind through a caring and supportive touch. Sessions may be provided before, during, or after already scheduled appointments. Sessions are approximately 10 to 30 minutes.  

Massage benefits can include reduced pain and fatigue, decreased anxiety, less nausea, improved sleep, enhanced body image, and a greater sense of well-being.

The Dubin massage therapy team is comprised of experienced New York State Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT) and Nationally Board Certified Reflexologists (NBCR) with additional training in oncology and hospital-based massage.

A Licensed Massage Therapist is available at the Dubin Breast Center offering the following services free of charge for our patients:

  • Hand, Shoulder and Neck Massage
  • Foot Reflexology
  • Reiki (Very light touch massage to promote relaxation)
  • Relaxation Techniques
