Mount Sinai HIV/AIDS Program
Mount Sinai is an international leader in HIV/AIDS treatment and research. We offer comprehensive, affordable primary care and case management services to people of all ages with HIV/AIDS, as well as many other services. We do this through two locations in Manhattan: the Jack Martin Practice in East Harlem and Comprehensive Health Downtown in Chelsea.
We are dedicated to helping our patients live the healthiest, highest quality lives possible. Our tagline sums up our philosophy: “HIV doesn’t care who you are. We do.” Our care is family-centered and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) -friendly. We bring together multidisciplinary teams of physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and other health professionals to create a personalized health plan for each patient. In addition to primary care services, we offer a wide range of specialized services, such as immediate help after exposure to HIV, women’s health/gynecological services, specialized hepatitis C treatment, nutritional assessments, and much more. We also work with many other community-based organizations in the neighborhood that provide complementary services. Part of one of the nation’s top research and teaching hospitals known for its outstanding medical care, we provide access to new medications and treatments through clinical trials. We also are able to quickly make referrals to other specialists and researchers in many areas at Mount Sinai.
