Q: How do I schedule my appointment?

You may speak with a comprehensive health specialist to schedule a visit Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. If the request is received after business hours, we will return your call the next business day. Please call 212-241-8000 or email your request to comprehensivehealthprogram@mountsinai.org.

Q: How shall I prepare for my visit?

Once we have scheduled your visit we will send you a confirmation that will include several forms that you can complete and return before you arrive. This information will help us coordinate your schedule based on your individual needs.

Q: Is there anything specific I should do the night before my visit?

Do not eat or drink after midnight the night before the visit. Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear as you will use a treadmill.

Q: What amenities are available?

We offer access to our conference room so you can consult with colleagues or conduct business in privacy. Other amenities include several options for brunch and convenient parking. Parking is available at The Mount Sinai Hospital garage on 99th Street and Madison Avenue. If you are visiting from out of town, there are several hotels in the area for convenient accommodations.

Q: How long do the exams and consultation take?

A typical day at the Comprehensive Health Program at Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital begins at 8 am sharp and concludes around 4:30 pm. If you would prefer an earlier start time, please let us know and we are happy to accommodate a start time as early as 7 am.

Q: How do you handle payment?

The Comprehensive Health Program at Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital is a self-pay program and does not participate with any health insurance plans. We identify all costs before the visit and we will ask you to sign a Notice of Disclosure before you arrive. Additional tests or services may be ordered by the physician after clinical assessment. There will be an additional cost for any additional tests or services. We also collect payment ahead of time. We accept cash, credit card, personal check, or international bank transfer.

Q: Can I cancel my appointment if I need to?

We understand schedules change all of the time. If you need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible. If you need to cancel, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Please be advised that a cancellation fee may be charged if the visit is cancelled with less than 10 business days’ notice.
