What We Offer

We Trust Your Body. And We Listen to You.

At Mount Sinai West, we believe in the power of the natural birthing process—and in your right to be heard and supported every step of the way. Your birth experience should reflect your preferences, your values, and your vision.

If you're a low-risk patient, you can choose what feels right for you:

  • Walk or move around freely during labor
  • Use wireless fetal monitoring (to allow you to walk and move around)
  • Try pain-management options like nitrous oxide
  • Lean into breathing, mindfulness, or relaxation techniques that work for you

Labor & Delivery Suites

Our labor rooms are designed for both comfort and confidence. Behind the scenes, our team monitors your baby’s heart rate and your contractions from anywhere on the floor, thanks to smart, centralized technology. And when it comes to managing pain, you’ve got real options: nitrous oxide, positioning techniques, epidural—whatever helps you feel most in control and supported.

Postpartum Rooms

After delivery, you’ll recover in a room where your baby can stay right by your side. Your support person is welcome to spend the night, too. Need a little rest? Our newborn nursery is available when you need it. We’re here to guide you through everything from newborn care and feeding to self-care and healing. Our lactation team provides breastfeeding support, and we meet you where you are—no pressure, just help.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

In the rare case your baby needs extra support, our Level III NICU is fully equipped and staffed with experts—neonatologists, specialized nurses, and respiratory therapists. You’ll stay informed, involved, and connected every step of the way.
