Pediatrics at Mount Sinai West

At Mount Sinai West, we offer family-centered care designed to meet your child’s specific needs. We have a variety of specialized services intended specifically for our littlest patients.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a state-of-the-art, Level III 35-bed unit with the ability to provide comprehensive medical care to preterm and other high-risk newborns.  In addition to routine NICU care, we also offer a variety of specialized services as well as certain programs designed to meet the needs of our youngest and sickest patients.

Neurology treats children with brain disorders and diseases of the nervous system, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. We have special expertise in brain malformations, brain tumors, neuromuscular diseases, cerebral palsy and spasticity, epilepsy, headache, ADD/ADHD, hydrocephalus, craniosynostosis, metabolic and mitochondrial disease, stroke, mental retardation, autism, and congenital malformations, including spina bifida.

Neurosurgery evaluates and treats children with a range of neurosurgical disorders. Our comprehensive program focuses on congenital and developmental disorders; craniofacial surgery; and pediatric epilepsy. We understand how treatment can affect your child’s neurological development and take that into consideration as we create an individualized treatment plan.
