Advancing Equity in Quality
Health equity happens when everyone has a fair opportunity to reach their full health potential without any barriers to their care due to social determinants.
The Mount Sinai Health System is committed to addressing these health inequities by improving the quality of care provided to patients and communities served. Care equity means delivering the same standards of care to all communities we serve regardless of race, ethnicity, insurance status, religion, disability, etc.
Equity in Quality Initiatives
Our goal is to better understand where health inequities exist and how to develop a framework to reduce these inequities. Through engagement with leaders from across the Mount Sinai Health System, we hope to expand existing initiatives and identify areas of growth to improve health outcomes for all populations and communities served.
