On the Ground Support for Frontline Workers
We recognize and appreciate the incredible work that our frontline providers are engaged in. We want to thank you for all that you do and remind you that you are not alone in your efforts. The entire Sinai system supports and thanks you. Please see below for the on the ground support available to you during this time including spaces to recharge, stations to nourish body and mind, and in-person teams dedicated to supporting your mental health.
For help or guidance in navigating any of the Well-Being Resources, and identifying the right resource for you, please call the Mount Sinai Center for Stress, Resilience and Personal Growth at 212-659-5564.
Mental Health Rounding Teams are available onsite for frontline COVID Units to check in on staff, and are available for immediate support if anyone needs it. They are also knowledgeable about other resources, and can discuss additional options for support. The teams conduct in person rounding several times a week.
We have on-site mental health rounding teams in place for MSB, MSBI, MSH, MSQ, MSM, and MSW. The teams are led by the site chairs/vice chairs of psychiatry for MSBI, MSMW, and MSH. For MSQ and MSB, we now have two clinicians each plus a chaplain to do similar rounding there. For MSQ, Dr. Sharat Iyer (MSQ psychiatrist) and Dr. Yariv Hofstein (MSMW Psychologist) have begun rounding. For MSB, Lyse Aybar (MSBI CPEP Program Manager) and Tamila Masir (MSBI OTP) are both LCSWs who are rounding.
