Information on the COVID-19 Mandatory Employee Testing (MET) Program
All health care workers in New York State must be fully vaccinated for the COVID-19 virus. All Mount Sinai staff, faculty, students, and trainees who have an approved medical exemption from receiving the COVID-19 vaccine are enrolled in the Mandatory Employee Testing (MET) program and must agree to test weekly for infection with SARS-CoV-2 for any week they are onsite as a condition of continued employment or matriculation. In addition, employees who are not vaccinated must wear a mask at all times in all areas.
For important information on the program, please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document.
For questions about the MET program not contained in the documents, please reach out to your local Employee Health Services (EHS) office or email testingexempt@mountsinai.org.
