Leadership Coaching
Just-in-Time Coaching
The ever-evolving COVID-19 pandemic is requiring Mount Sinai Health System leaders to demonstrate confidence when they may feel the most vulnerable, and maintain vision for others when their own line of sight may be obscured. To help you continue to perform well under these conditions, Talent Development and Learning (TDL) has created Just-in-Time Coaching, an opportunity for you to speak with an internal coach.
Through a 30-minute confidential phone conversation with a coach, you will have the space to process the dilemmas that you are experiencing as a leader during the COVID-19 crisis. By identifying your goal, examining your current situation, exploring options, and choosing a way forward, our coaches will help you quickly move from problem to insight to action. We are proud to be able to help MSHS leaders face their challenges with confidence. Please note that coaching is not psychotherapy and does not substitute for this type of therapy*. As our coaches are not clinically trained, they are also not able to provide guidance on clinical decision making.
If you are interested in working with a coach or would like more information, please contact Talent Development & Learning at 845-307-0241.
*If you are in need of this type of therapy, please visit the “Well-Being Staff Resources” page for a listing of these resources available through the health system.
Remote Teams
Transitioning to remote teams is challenging even when your teams have been working together for years. Making this transition and ensuring that your team members stay connected despite their geographical distance requires that you reestablish ground rules and manage the nuances and not-so-subtle shifts in communication and team dynamics.
As a leader of remote teams, you can benefit from this eLearning course, which provides you with an opportunity to consider your team’s movement through the forming, storming, norming, and performing phases of Tuckman’s team development model. An awareness of these phases can help you anticipate team members’ behaviors and respond quickly to build team cohesion and maximize team performance.
