"What You Need To Know About Protecting Your Skin From The Sun This Summer"

It is summer in the city, which means you are probably getting a lot more sun now and that could be a good or bad thing depending on whether you are using skin protection. Andrew Alexis, MD, MPH, associate professor of dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and site chair of the department of dermatology at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West explains how to protect your skin from the sun during these hot summer months. “Everyone of any complexion is at risk for skin cancer, so regardless of your skin tone, you need to practice safe sun habits,” Dr. Alexis said.
