"Mount Sinai Launches Sema4 Spinoff" - Luther Turmelle
Sema4, an affiliate of the Mount Sinai Health System is making its debut as a for-profit company. This affiliation will expand Sema4's genetic testing business and data sciences capabilities. Eric Schadt, PhD, founding director of the Icahn Institute for Genomics and Multiscale Biology and a lead to the new company said, "Providing broad access to data, rather than hoarding it or restricting its use, is a proven path to accelerating new discoveries and drastically improving patient care."
