"NY Hospitals Get Cleaner Bill Of Health" - Gerald Schiffman

For the New York area's biggest hospitals, 2016 was their best year in nearly a decade. Net profits at the top 25 on Crain's annual list of the largest hospitals totaled $1.43 billion, up 54% from the prior year. More than 80% of the hospitals enjoyed gains. Mount Sinai Health System's five major hospitals posted a $206 million net gain in 2016, compared with a $23 million net loss in 2015.
