Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Angela Diaz is a professor of pediatrics and preventative medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine in addition to her role as the Director of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center. Under her leadership, the Center, which provides a variety of free medical and health education services to teens, has become the largest adolescent specific health center in the US, serving more than 12,000 vulnerable and disadvantaged youth in the New York area.

Dr. Diaz is a member of the Board of Directors for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and President and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Aid Society of New York. She is active in public policy and advocacy in the US, has conducted many international health projects, and is a frequent speaker at both national and international conferences. In 2009, Dr. Diaz was featured as one of the “Best Doctors” by New York Magazine.
