About Me

Trevor Pour, MD, serves as Associate Program Director and Site Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He also serves as the Director for Undergraduate Medical Education for the Department of Emergency Medicine. He is the recipient of numerous faculty teaching awards at both the graduate and undergraduate level and is academically active and published in the fields of palliative care, pediatrics, emergency gynecology, health policy, and medical education.

Dr. Pour earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai, including a year as chief resident. In addition to his clinical activity, which includes both adult and pediatric emergency medicine in addition to tele-medicine, Dr. Pour serves a number of other roles in the Mount Sinai Health System. He provides specialized sports medicine to athletes in New York City, both as a finish line physician at the New York City Marathon since 2010 as well as a courtside player physician at the US Open annually since 2018. He also serves as a faculty member of the Mount Sinai Human Rights Clinic, in which capacity he provides forensic examinations and documentation for individuals who are seeking asylum in the United States and who have experienced human rights abuses in their countries of origin.
