About Me

Taylor D. White MD, MFA is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital and Icahn School of Medicine. He is an alumnus of Brown University, and holds an MFA in Acting from the NYU Graduate Acting Program. He received his MD from Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed his internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. As an anesthesiologist-generalist, he cares for a diverse range of patients having a wide array of procedures. Dr. White is Medical Co-Director of Mount Sinai's Preoperative Evaluation and Management Center (POEM Center), is Medical Advisor for Perioperative Medicine - Anesthesiology for the Mount Sinai Health System, and is interested in how thoughtful, evidence-driven perioperative medicine can improve patient outcomes. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists (NYSSA), and the Society for Perioperative Assessment and Quality Improvement (SPAQI), and serves on the Government and Legal Affairs Committee of the NYSSA, which gives him the opportunity to advocate for safe, team-based anesthesia care.
