    Dr. Soo Jung Kim is the Director of Chinatown Dermatology Faculty Practice of the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Kim is a well-trained and experienced board-certified dermatologist who will be heading a brand new, state-of-the-art dermatology office located in the heart of Chinatown.

    Dr. Kim obtained her bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea and her PhD degree in Microbiology from Northwestern University. Dr. Kim then received her medical degree from Chicago Medical School. Her clinical practice in Internal Medicine was done at Beth Israel Hospital and completed her residency training in dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

    She has diverse experience including being certified in acupuncture in Beijing, China. In addition, Dr. Kim has done extensive research during her PhD and residency training.

    Dr. Soo Jung Kim is adept at managing a full spectrum of skin diseases with a special interest in dermatologic manifestations of connective tissue diseases. She is a compassionate, culturally sensitive and caring physician, deeply committed to her community and patient care.

Industry Relationships

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.

Dr. Kim did not report having any of the following types of financial relationships with industry during 2015 and/or 2016: consulting, scientific advisory board, industry-sponsored lectures, service on Board of Directors, participation on industry-sponsored committees, equity ownership valued at greater than 5% of a publicly traded company or any value in a privately held company.
