Sarah Silverman, MD is a board-certified allergy and immunology specialist at Mount Sinai Doctors, seeing patients of all ages Monday-Friday in Brooklyn Heights. Trained in Chicago and Long Island, she is certified by the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the New York Allergy and Asthma Society. After majoring in Anthropology at the University of Michigan, she was awarded her medical degree from Rush Medical College of Rush University and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System. Prior to joining Mount Sinai Doctors, Dr. Silverman worked for Park Avenue Medical Professionals. She also has a master’s degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. Dr. Silverman focuses her practice on pediatric and adult allergy evaluation and management, as well as, immune deficiency evaluation. She has presented at regional and national conferences on issues related to primary immunodeficiency. Some of the conditions she evaluates and treats include asthma, hay fever, eczema, sinus issues, hives, and allergies to foods, insects, and drugs. She lives in the Upper West Side with her husband and two children.
