We are interested in developing and applying computational tools for biological problems. Our work is particularly oriented to prediction and analysis of protein structure and its relationship to protein function. Areas of interest include:

  • Structure Prediction: Comparative modeling, structure evaluation, domain interactions, protein-protein interaction.
  • Structure-Function Relationship: Analysis of protein families, prediction of function from structure, evolution of structure/function.
  • Structural Genomics: Computational methods for large-scale protein structure determination.
  • Biological Databases: Design and integration of databases for protein structure and function.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
