Biography

    Dr. Yanagisawa, a graduate of Brown University, is board certified in both endocrinology and internal medicine. He is a specialist in the treatment of obesity and obesity-associated conditions, such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and polycystic ovary syndrome. He has been a faculty member of Mount Sinai's Division of Endocrinology since 2001. Dr. Yanagisawa is also the Program Director of the Clinical Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Bone Disease at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
