
Biography
- Dr. Klein sees patients with or at risk for HIV/Aids in the Jack Martin Fund Clinic located in the Center for Ambulatory Medicine, 17 East 102nd Street, 3rd floor, New York, NY 10029. Insurances accepted are Medicaid, Medicare and ADAP. Dr. Klein as sees patients with other infectious disease problems who are referred by physicians for consultation in the Jack Martin Fund Clinic.
Dr. Klein has more than 200 scholarly publications, is active in teaching infectious diseases and epidemiology to medical students, house staff and fellows, and is a charter member of the National Institutes of Health study section on AIDS Clinical and Epidemiological Studies. He also is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, Infectious Diseases Society of America and the New York Academy of Medicine and is a past President of the Infectious Diseases Society of New York.
Dr. Klein's research has focused for many years on the epidemiology and clinical manifestations of HIV infection, and in recent years on hepatitis and disorders of aging as they affect patients with HIV infection.
Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of Mount Sinai School of Medicine often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
