Dr. Green graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and was selected to AOA in 1974.  He completed three years of pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins, a neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University, and a cardiovascular physiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins.  He served on the faculty of the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis for six years and came to Mount Sinai in 1987 and has remained on the faculty since then.  His primary focus has been the care of newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit and the teaching of neonatology fellows, pediatric residents and medical students.  He has co-authored over forty publications related to the field of neonatology and serves on numerous hospital and medical school committees.  He has received the Pediatric Attending of the Year award, given by the pediatric house staff on two occasions.
