About Me
Richard Desmond, MD, is certified in both pulmonary disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada and completed a residency in internal medicine at Elmhurst General Hospital in Queens. He went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary medicine at Elmhurst City Hospital Services.
Dr. Desmond has more than 32 years of clinical experience including 27 years of caring for patients in the Queens community. His clinical interests include practicing general internal medicine and treating patients with a variety of pulmonary disorders such as asthma, COPD and lung cancer. In 2012, he was recognized with the Patient’s Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition both by Vitals. Dr. Desmond is also Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.Language
