- Dr. Seigel is originally from Brooklyn and has worked in Downtown Brooklyn for the better part of the last 15 years. Before coming to Mount Sinai Brooklyn Heights Medical Group, Dr. Seigel was an attending physician in Family Medicine at SUNY Downstate/Long Island College Hospital and previously at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Additionally, Dr. Seigel served for many years as the medical director of the Park Slope Women’s Shelter, a homeless shelter for women with psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Dr. Seigel has also practiced with the Indian Health Service in Arizona and New Mexico.
Dr. Seigel has traveled and worked in South America and Central America and is fluent in Spanish. She sees adults and adolescent patients. She has a particular interest in women’s health.
Dr. Seigel lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three children.
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
