About Me

Dr. Sidoti graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in Biology. He holds a medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. His postgraduate training includes an ophthalmology residency at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and a clinical/research fellowship in glaucoma at the Doheny Eye Institute/University of Southern California School of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Sidoti is Professor and Deputy Chair for Clinical Affairs for the Department of Ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System. Board certified, Dr. Sidoti is active in many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Surgeons, the American Glaucoma Society, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. He is a recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor Award and the author of numerous journal articles and several textbook chapters. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Lavelle Fund for the Blind. His research interests are focused on the treatment of and surgical intervention for glaucoma, including glaucoma implant surgery. As a leading expert in the medical and surgical management of adult and pediatric glaucoma, he lectures both nationally and internationally.
