Micah Resnick, MD, is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He provides comprehensive customized care to his pediatric patients as he works with them and their families to create treatment plans that work best for each patient. His clinical interests include well-child care, adolescent health, preventive medicine, and patient and family education. By educating patients and their families, he empowers them to make healthy decisions and strengthens their compliance with clinical recommendations. He is inspired by the resiliency of children as they deal with a range of health challenges and he values the positive impact he has on their health and the well-being of their families.
Dr. Resnick received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine where he was honored with the Most Outstanding Medical Student award. He is passionate about caring for those who are underserved. As a medical student he led a team of peers in a clinic, caring for the homeless in Washington D.C., provided care to those affected by the earthquake in Haiti, and participated in a pediatric AIDS initiative in Swaziland. After medical school, he went on to complete a residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is active in the sections of Administration and Practice Management, Adolescent Health, and the councils on Clinical Information Technology, and Quality Improvement/Patient Safety.
