Dr. Marla Stern received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine after completing the six-year medical program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. She then completed her residency training in pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, after which she went on to become the chief resident in pediatrics.

Dr. Stern then joined the practice of doctors Donald and Irwin Gribetz. This relationship lasted 11 years. Dr. Stern then went into private practice with the doctors Monti, Mirante and Saphir where she practiced until February 2016 when she then joined the doctors Monti and Mirante at the Mount Sinai faculty practice at 234 East 85th Street, New York, NY.

Dr. Stern is a board certified pediatrician who was appointed assistant professor in the Department of pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Stern has been listed in the Best Doctors of New York magazine and the New York Times, for several years. She has also been recognized in the Castle Connolly Best Doctors.
