Jennifer Marti, MD is a dual fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in endocrine, breast & melanoma surgery. Following medical school and general surgery residency at New York University School of Medicine, she completed advanced surgical fellowships at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Yale. Dr. Marti specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant disorders of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands and breast. These conditions include hyperparathyroidism, hyperthyroidism (Graves disease, toxic multinodular goiter, solitary toxic adenoma), thyroid cancer, paragangliomas, carotid body tumors, and breast cancer. She has expertise in minimally invasive parathyroidectomy, thyroidectomy, central compartment lymph node dissection, modified radical neck dissection, laparoscopic adrenalectomy, carotid body excision, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and nipple-sparing mastectomy. Veracyte Afirma & Thyroseq v2 thyroid FNA analysis is available for indeterminate thyroid nodules. She also has expertise in active surveillance (observation) for small papillary thyroid cancers, avoiding surgery in selected patients. As an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, she has presented at national meetings, and published in peer reviewed journals in endocrine and breast surgery.
