Biography
Jeffrey Ciccone, MD earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in 2001, with a focus on biology, society, and ethics. He then completed his graduate training and medical degree at Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2005. He then entered into his residency training in anesthesiology at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical College. He further completed his training in pain management at the Tri-institutional program of New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell – Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center – Hospital for Special Surgery, and is board certified in anesthesiology and pain management.
Dr. Ciccone serves as assistant professor in anesthesiology performing all forms and techniques of anesthesia in the operating room suite. With his on focus on pain management, he serves as attending physician on inpatient pain management services for post-operative and chronic and acute pain, and as a member of the faculty practice in the outpatient pain management department.
Dr. Ciccone is avidly interested in multimodal forms of pain management incorporating medical, interventional and procedural, and alternative therapies such as acupuncture. As part of the subdivision of Integrative Pain Management, he is now also certified in medical acupuncture and has particular interest in combining modern medicine with alternative therapies, and physical rehabilitation to improve quality of life as well as functionality.
Dr. Ciccone has deep interest in management of terminal and cancer pain, employing numerous advanced medical, and interventional techniques to improve the quality of life of the patient and of the families.
