Ilaria Ceglia, PhD

About Me

Dr. Ceglia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. After earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Rome, she completed her graduate education at the Institute Mario Negri of Milan with a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology, in the Department of Neuroscience. In the fall of 2003 she joined Dr. Paul Greengard's Laboratory at The Rockefeller University in New York where she did her postdoctoral studies and was promoted to Research Associate in 2007. She joined Dr. Miglaccio’s laboratory at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2015 to explore new scientific fields and apply her scientific background towards a more clinical translational oriented research. Her research is focused on investigating the role of megakaryocytes in the pathology of primary myelofibrosis (PMF).
