About Me

Gali Halevi is the chief director of the Mount Sinai Health System libraries and an assistant professor in the department of medicine. As a part of her role, she manages library services across 5 locations which include research, reference, electronic and physical access to resources. Previous to her work at Mount Sinai she was responsible for the development of infometric tools for Elsevier’s leading products, was the director of Elsevier’s Bibliometric Research Program (EBRP | www.ebrp.elsevier.com) and was a member of the editorial board of Research Trends and a regular writer for the magazine. Previous to her work at Elsevier, Gali was an information specialist providing competitive intelligence services for pharmaceutical and financial companies. Gali received her Master’s in Library & Information Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and her PhD in Information Science from Long Island University in New York.
