About Me

Dr. Frank Accardi has been a practicing ophthalmologist in New York City since 1985. This lecture material dealt with the information that was the very basis of the later enormous interest in the surgical correction of refractive errors, first in laser vision correction and then in cataract surgery, including multifocal and astigmatism correcting toric intra-ocular lens implants. The vast majority of Dr. Accardi's private practice over the years has been associated with The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, the oldest specialty hospital in the Western Hemisphere and perennially in the top ten of eye programs, as ranked by U.S. News and World Report. He is Senior Attending Surgeon at the infirmary and has made available to his patients whenever necessary consultants of every sub-specialty of ophthalmology, many of whom enjoy national reputations in their areas of expertise. Dr. Accardi personally performs all his intra-ocular surgeries at this excellent institution.
