Evelyn J Icasiano, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist. She graduated from Rutgers University where she received a Henry Rutgers Scholar Award completing a thesis in the Biological Sciences. While there she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She then went on to complete her medical degree at the Chicago Medical School. After graduating, she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York. She then completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She followed this with a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Icasiano practices comprehensive ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery including cataract and refractive surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She was recognized as a "Rising Star" in Ophthalmology in the 2013 and 2014 edition of New York Super Doctors.
