About Me

Christina Tennyson, MD is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Mount Sinai Doctors, seeing patients Monday, Tuesday, and Friday in Brooklyn Heights. Trained in Pennsylvania and New York, she is certified by the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists and a member of the North American Society for the Study of Celiac Disease, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Society, and the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She was awarded her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is an expert in the treatment of celiac disease and has a particular interest in colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, diarrhea, nutrition, malabsorption, small bowel diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and capsule endoscopies. She has co-authored numerous articles and chapters in the field of gastroenterology and has presented research at both national and international conferences.
