    Akhil Shenoy, MD MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.  He completed his medical training at the Chicago Medical School and his psychiatry residency at Boston University Medical Center where he served as chief resident.  He received an MPH in social and behavioral sciences from Boston University concurrently with his residency.  He went on to do a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he served as a liaison to the lung transplant service. In addition to working on the general psychiatric consultation liaison service treating psychiatric conditions in the medically ill, he continues to work with transplant patients in the Recanati/Miller Transplantion Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital.  He is board certified in General Adult Psychiatry.  His areas of interest include: organ transplant, chronic medical illness, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy of the medically ill.
