Akhil Shenoy MD MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his medical training at the Chicago Medical School and his psychiatry residency at Boston University Medical Center where he served as chief resident. He received an MPH in social and behavioral sciences from Boston University concurrently with his residency. He went on to do a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital where he served as liaison to the lung transplant service. In addition to working on the general psychiatric consultation liaison service treating psychiatric conditions in the medically ill, he is the director of transplant psychiatry at the Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital.
