The Department of Surgery's Office of Surgical Outcomes and Quality Improvement (SOQI) spearheads the management of clinical data review, monitoring, and reporting for national quality initiatives. By entering data into dashboard systems, our outcomes are tracked on a continuous basis. Outcomes reporting provides timely feedback to help identify which areas of patient care need improvement. The Department of Surgery utilizes several national quality programs to report and track outcomes – which include the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP), the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), and the Collaborative Endocrine Surgery Quality Improvement Program (CESQIP). At Mount Sinai, we are committed to providing safe care to enhance the patient experience.
